CT Tech - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)
- CT Tech shall provide diagnostic imaging CT services in Radiography in a competent and professional manner assigned by the Supervisor of Medical Imaging Services.
- Provide services at dates and times assigned by the Supervisor of Diagnostic Imaging Services.
- May encompass out-patient, inpatient, urgent care, and emergency room departments.
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, such as CT examinations.
- Responsible for accurately positioning patients and ensuring that a quality diagnostic image is produced.
- CT Tech works closely with radiologists and the physicians who interpret medical images to either diagnose or rule out disease or injury.
- Perform proper radiologic CT examinations for images to be interpreted correctly by the radiologist.
- Deliver appropriate and timely imaging services in accordance with the Standards of Care established by the recognized diagnostic imaging department and in accordance with the policies and procedures.
- CT Tech is responsible for completing clinical reports and correspondence concerning patients under his/her care in a timely fashion.
CT Tech - REQUIREMENTS
- Academic degree from an accredited Radiology Educational Program (Radiology).
- Minimum of six (6) months experience in Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (Digital Radiology).
- Current ARRT (The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiology.
- Current BLS certification.
